Ziylen Joseph “Zy” Thomas, 11, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Connellsville, PA.
He was born, February 1, 2011 in Uniontown, PA to the late Angela Jo Thomas.
Ziylen was a 6th grade student at Ligonier Valley Middle School, Ligonier, PA where he was a member of the marching band. He had previously attended West Crawford Middle School in Connellsville, PA. He was a very good student, despite his favorite subject being the bus ride home! He was the class clown, always cracking jokes. He had many friends who will miss him greatly.
Zy thoroughly enjoyed playing his Oculus VR as well as Fortnite. He loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, camping, ATV riding and was looking forward to beginning to hunt. He also really enjoyed surfing while on vacation at the beach.
He attended the Church of Jesus Christ, Connellsville, PA.
He loved his pets, which included a duck, chicken, rabbit named Clover and a cat named Bo.
Ziylen is survived by his grandparents, Patricia “Patty” Jeffers, Raymond “Ted” (Paula) Thomas, Charles Echard and Nan Worley; sister, Sidney Worley; aunts and uncles, Teddy (Dawn) Thomas, Jenny (Albert) Snyder, Tiffany Thomas, Patricia Ohler, Woodrow “Elmo” Worley, Samantha Fagan, Kayla Barbabella, Martha Powley, Marie Ross, and Jeremiah Worley; great aunt, Carla (Paul “Moe”) Hlatky; and several cousins.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Miah Worley and uncles, Donald Landman and Jimmy Moore.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home on Monday, January 2, 2023, from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 3, 2023, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Ralph Miller officiating.
Interment to follow in Fairview (Percy) Cemetery.
