VICKY LOU (LOWRY) BROWNING

Vicky “Vicky Lou” (Lowry) Browning, 69, of Brownsville, PA, died in WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA, on Friday, August 4, 2023. 
She was born on November 16, 1953, in Connellsville, PA, to the late William Aaron Lowry and the late Evelyn Rebecca (Benson) Lowry. 
Vicky will be remembered as kind, generous, and loving to everyone that she met. She was the matriarch to both her own family and well beyond,  playing the role of mom and grandma to all. 
Her presence will be so very missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her. 
She was an original member of the Uniontown Church of Christ, and worked as a volunteer coordinator for Women of Faith.
Vicky is survived by her children Mervin Thomas Franks Jr. and spouse Chad Luckner, Valerie Lynn Franks, Fonda Renee Browning-Soderman and her spouse Aaron Soderman and Rebecca Elizabeth Browning and fiance Emmanuel Bell; grandchildren Brandon Berry, Damon Hester, Dakota Hester, Flash Soderman & Raiden Soderman; siblings, Alan (Pauline) Lowry, April Gurtner and Adam (Stephanie) Lowry; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-grandson Percy Berry; brother James Lowry; infant sister, Linda Lowry; nephews, Jeremy Lowry and Chad Lowry as well as close family friend, whom she regarded like a sister, Denice Feeney. 
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA on Tuesday, August 8, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
