Kenneth John Miller, 73, of Dunbar, PA and Sarasota, FL, passed away, Friday, July 22, 2022 at his home in Dunbar.
He was born in Connellsville, PA, on September 5, 1948, to the late John M. Miller and the late Ruby Jean Franks Miller.
Ken graduated from Connellsville High School. He was employed at Rack Engineering and then as an independent truck driver. He also worked security at the Fayette Co. Fair for many years. He attended Franklin United Methodist Church in Dunbar.
He thoroughly enjoyed the time that he spent in Florida during the winter months. While in PA, he enjoyed boating at Yough Lake Marina. He also enjoyed his camp, traveling with his wife, Nascar racing, hunting, and fishing. He belonged to many organizations and clubs, including, Fayette Co. Firemen’s Association, Moose, Eagles, Polish Club of Connellsville, and Donegal American Legion. During his lifetime, Ken was mayor of Dunbar, a former Pennsylvania State Constable and a former member of the Civil Air patrol where he would enjoy flying.
Ken is survived by his wife, the love of his life of 48 years, Bobbi Jean Holt Miller; children, Kenneth John “KJ” Miller and wife Tracy of Alabama and Randa Ray Miller, brothers-in-law,sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Ken is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. To honor Ken’s wishes there will be no funeral visitation. A memorial service will be held in Sarasota at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Kidney Fund via www.kidneyfund.org
