Jeffrey Loren Watson, 56, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2024.
Jeff was born on September 12, 1967, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Paul G. and Nancy (Halfhill) Watson.
Jeff experienced living in many places growing up because of his Dad’s Navy career; most notably, Florida, Cuba and Hawaii.
Jeff graduated from High School while living in Hawaii where he joined the United States Air Force in 1986. He served until his honorable discharge while being stationed in Texas in 1990.
Jeff worked as a paramedic for 26 years and as a corrections officer for 6 years.
He was a talented musician, playing the guitar and harmonica. He also had an amazing singing voice which he showcased throughout the years in many local bands; the last of which was the revival of, “Alterior Motive”.
Jeff was also a very talented woodworker, creating amazing pieces for friends, coworkers and family.
Jeff’s humor was second to none. On your worst day, he could make you laugh with his Eric Cartman impression.
Left to treasure his memory are his children, Jerod, Krista and Cassie Watson; grandchildren, Cole, Parker, Kymbee, Harley, Mia, Ella, Hudson and one due in March; brother Paul (Brenda) Watson II; niece, Chrissy (Chad) Adrians and their boys, Landon and Tucker and nephew, Brandon (Rachel) Watson; Aunts, Kathy (Frank) Orawiec, Nancy (Roder) Anderson, Karen (Paul) Matthews; several cousins, including special cousins, Michelle Bunting and her son Shane and Ricky Martinchalk; girlfriend Kelley Booher; and his furbaby, Titan.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street; Dunbar, PA, on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from noon to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Robert Wrachford officiating.
Military honors accorded by Masontown American Legion Post 423.
Private interment to follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar, PA.
