George William “Uncle Jr.”, “Little Buck” Miller Jr., 78, of Dunbar, PA, died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at home.
He was born June 15, 1944, in Adelaide, PA, to the late George William Miller Sr. and the late Blanche (Porterfield) Miller.
George was a truck driver by trade and truly enjoyed driving semi-trucks until his retirement. He loved to do anything outdoors, hunting, and fishing were among his favorite outdoor activities.
In his spare time, he also enjoyed, wrestling, motorcycles, playing his guitars, cowboys & cowboy movies; especially “Gunsmoke” and smoking his cigarettes.
Another favorite was time spent talking to and enjoying the company of his many friends at the Laurel Mall Flea Market.
George is survived by his partner of 24 years, Phyllis Welty; son, Fred Miller and fiancee Michele Burkholder; grandchildren, Megan Miller, Alexander Miller, Ryan Miller; stepchildren, Robert Murphy Sr. and fiancee Molly Upton, Elizabeth Leighty and fiancé Bill Patterson and Joey Welty; step grandchildren, Robert Murphy Jr., Taven Murphy, Rayon Murphy, Savannah Upton, Raven Murphy, James Patterson, Curtis Patterson, Isabella Patterson, Michelle Patterson and Mickayla Patterson.
He will also be deeply missed by his black cat, whom he named "cat". Cat held a special place in George's heart.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Jennifer Patterson and James E. Murphy and his siblings, Sandy Hohn and Lola Hollis.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar on Tuesday, March 28, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the hour of service with Rev. Terry Upton officiating.
Interment to follow in Greenlick Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, PA.
