FREDA LEE (SMITLEY) KENNEY

Freda Lee (Smitley) Kenney, 63, of Hopwood, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at home. She was born November 27, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, PA, to Gerald Smitley Sr. and the late Mildred June (Bezilla) Smitley.
Freda was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially with her granddaughter, Abigail. 
She attended Hopwood Free Methodist Church in Hopwood, PA. 
Freda is survived by her children, Jesse Kenney and Sarah (Kenny) DeLorenzo; her granddaughter, Abigail; siblings, Tammy Darnell, Jerry (Jami) Smitley and Jody (Mick) Crayton; nieces and nephews, as well as the “Golden Girls” and her dogs, Rosie, Freddie and Elvis. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Kenney. Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA, on Sunday, August 28, 2022, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 P.m., the hour of service with Pastor Charles O’Brien officiating.
