ALFRED JOSEPH SOBERDASH

Alfred J. Soberdash, 85, of Dunbar, PA, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 in WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

He was born September 21, 1938 in Dunbar Twp. to the late Andrew and Anna Kostelnick Soberdash.

He graduated from Dunbar Twp. High School where he excelled in sports. He also attended the University of Georgia where he played football. He attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Alfred was involved in the coal business most of his life, being part of Soberdash Coal Co.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Leapline Soberdash; four sons, Alfred (Kendra) Soberdash II, Troy (Marion) Soberdash, Dean (Rhonda) Soberdash, Andrew Soberdash II; eight grandchildren, A. J. Soberdash III, Cole Soberdash, Dr. Shea Soberdash, Joshua Soberdash, Sydney (Soberdash) PA-C and (Troy) Templeton, PA-C, Seth Soberdash, Andy Soberdash III, Shelby Soberdash; brother, Thomas (Renee) Soberdash.

Family will receive friends Saturday, October 28, from 1-4 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, 998 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown. Funeral service will follow at 4PM with Pastor Bryan Kelley and Pastor David Warner.
