Wilbur Eugene Landman, 83, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at home.
He was born on October 25, 1940, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Earl James Landman and the late Helen Irene (Schreck) Landman.
He attended Cove Run Free Methodist Church.
In his free time, Wilbur was an avid hunter; a passionate gardener; thoroughly enjoyed farming; sang hunting; and hunting for mushrooms.
He also enjoyed playing his guitar as well as throwing horseshoes.
When it came to cheering on his favorite sports teams, Wilbur was an Avid fan of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He is survived by four of his children, Wilbur (Karen) Landman, Tommy (Lynn) Landman, Jerry Landman and Terri Landman; eighteen grandchildren including his special grandson Porky that helped take care of his Pap along with his mom, Terri until the end; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Loretta) Landman; sisters, Sandy (Roy) Matthews and Jean (Bill) Jordan; many nieces and nephews; and great friends, Glenn Wilson, and George and Charlotte Bodnar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Louise (Piper) Landman; children, Earl Eugene Landman and Cynthia Lousie Landman; grandson, James “JJ” Landman; four sisters, Delores Skovich, Maxine Thomas, Ilene Jellick and Ruby Helen Landman as well as two brothers Jim Landman and Roger Landman.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place at Cove Run Free Methodist Church, 345 Yauger Hollow Rd., Lemont Furnace, PA, on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Travis Edgar officiating.
Interment to follow at Fairview (Percy) Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gina Canada and Amedysis Hospice, and in particular, Lindsay, his nurse for the care and compassion they showed Wilbur during their time with him.
