Wilbert Louis “Webco” Burnsworth, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at home.
He was born on July 3, 1950, in Connellsville, PA, to the late Wilbert J. Burnsworth and the late Doris (Eburg) Burnsworth.
Wilbert was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1970 to 1976. During that time, he became an M-16 Sharpshooter and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Upon his return from the military, he spent his working years self-employed in general construction.
He will be remembered as having loved Sheetz coffee and in his spare time, enjoying his favorite hobbies. He liked to play cards, gamble, and fish. In particular, he enjoyed fishing at his favorite spot, Seghi’s Five Lakes.
Wilbert is survived by his three children, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, siblings, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Victoria Lynn (Goodwin) Burnsworth, to whom he was the beloved husband.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson and siblings.
In accordance with Wilbert’s wishes, there will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION.
Private interment to take place in Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin Township, PA.
Wilbert would like everyone to remember him by the following quote, “He was a good Joe, but he had to go!"
