Shirley J. “Sis” (Hyatt) Zimmerman 74, of Dunbar, PA, who was born on July 3,1949, in Little Summit, PA, died Monday, July, 3, 2023, in WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA.
Shirley will be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest! She loved to dance and listen to music; especially her two favorite bands, the Part Time Cowboys and Country Express Band. Her all time favorite song, was “Old Time Rock n Roll” by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band.
She loved spending time outdoors. Tending to her flowers was a particular passion of hers. She also thoroughly enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and other wildlife that surrounded her home.
Her family will remember fondly the countless baked goods that she made them over the years with love.
Shirley attended Dunbar Baptist Church in Dunbar, PA.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Barry L. Zimmerman; children, Brenda (Zimmerman) Eutsey and husband Donald, Tina (Zimmerman) Swope and husband Dennis, Cheryl (Zimmerman) Keefer, and Donna (Zimmerman) Dolan and husband Michael; grandchildren, Dennis (D.J) Swope Jr. and wife Amanda, Nathanel Swope and wife Jennifer, Alex Swope and Fiancé Savannah , Breanna Eutsey, Jacob Eutsey, Cassandra (Keefer) Duricic and husband Donald, Elizabeth Keefer, Emily Keefer and fiance Robert Luciw, April (Dolan) Ireland and husband Darrell, Michael Dolan Jr. and wife Alexsandra, Hannah (Dolan) Hill and husband Arthur, and Brandon Dolan; greatgrandchildren, Kamdyn, Zoey, Preston, Nickalie, Xahiver, Willow, Rosalynn, Vanessa, John, Logan, Arthur Jr., Emmett; and soon to come Diana; brother, Harold (Dune) Hyatt and wife Karen Overly; sister Sandy (Hyatt) Younkin and husband Randy.
Her presence in all of their lives will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Hyatt and Geraldine (Gaboroko) Hyatt, brother Ronald Hyatt and wife Nancy and her son-in-law Jeffery Keefer.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA on Saturday, July 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Robert Wrachford officiating.
Private inurnment to follow at a later date in Silbaugh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Addison Township, PA.
