Rosella Lee “Rosie” Griswold, 48, of Connellsville, PA, died on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.
She was born on December 1, 1975 to Donna (Everett) Chamberlain and the late Kenneth Paul Gantt in Jeannette, PA.
Rosie took pride in being a wife and mother. She was her husband’s and children’s best friend. Anything they needed, no matter the storm, she always pulled through for them. The love and energy she put into any and all interactions was a beautiful thing if you were on its receiving end.
Next to her children, were her grandchildren; all 13 of them. As soon as she would see one of her babies, she would smile a smile that could light up a whole room.
She’s a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a sister and a daughter. Rosie was the light of everyone’s life. Everyone that knew her loved her.
In life, Rosie enjoyed the little things; fishing, movies, spending quality time with her siblings and shopping! Her favorite thing to do to pass time was watch horror movies and be snuggled up in her “Jason” outfit!
Rosella is survived by her husband, Daniel R. Griswold; children, Bobbi Larae Patterson, Bobby D. Canady and fiancée Caitlin Ault, Preston L. Canady, and Erik W. (Sheyann) Holsing II; an abundance of grandchildren; siblings, Iris (Dennis) Aultz, David (Justine) Goyer, Larry Winters, Erik (Shawna) Holsing Sr., Derrell Fleming and Scott Speed and brother-in-law, Kevin Hardy.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Scherry Everett and Melanie I. Holsing and brother, John “Stitch” Martin.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street; Dunbar, PA on Friday, January 19, 2024 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
