Rosalee Marie “Rose” (Dumbauld) Bierer, 81, of Dunbar, PA, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at home.
She was born on March 11, 1944, in Connellsville Hospital, Connellsville, PA, to the late John E. Dumbauld and the late Bernice (Wolfe) Dumbauld.
In her working years, Rose worked at Pechin’s and would best be remembered as the “meat cart lady”. She then went on to work for Westgate Cleaning Village in Connellsville, PA, for twenty-seven years as the manager.
In her spare time, she could always be found at the Comet Drive-In flea market on Sunday mornings, where she loved a good bargain and thoroughly enjoyed the art of haggling. She was a pro at scoring the best deal possible!
Rose is survived by her two sons, Thomas E. “Bub” Bierer and Greg (Stacy Jo) Bierer; three grandchildren, Larry P. Morris II, Cody (Tiffany) Fisher, and Christopher Bierer; great-grandchildren, Haven Fisher and boyfriend, Chris Fletcher, Bryan Show, Avery Fisher, Tanner Fisher, Kyler Fisher, and Waylon Fisher; great-great granddaughter, Ryleigh Fletcher; step-daughter, Patti Zavada; step-son Ronnie (Cheryl) Anderson; brothers, Bob (Margie) Dumbauld, Kenneth “Dink” Dumbauld & significant other, Brenda Husband, Charlie (Diane) Dumbauld; sister, Tammy Campbell; sister-in-law, Marge Lewis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ellen Bierer; granddaughter, Rebecca Fisher; significant other of many years, Howard “Junior” Anderson; four siblings, Edward Dumbauld, Bill Lewis, Artie Dumbauld Sr., and Joanne Ritenour; daughter-in-law, Raymie Bierer, and brother-in-law, Fred Campbell.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, February 16, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
Private interment at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar, PA.
Rose’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, in particular to her aide, Pam, and her nurses, Michelle and Lisa, for the care and compassion that they extended to Rose during their time with her.
