Peter Gregory “Pete” Bennie, 74, of Hopwood, PA, died on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at home.
He was born on December 29, 1950, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Peter Bennie and the late Kathryn M. (Stefko) Bennie.
Pete served in the United States Navy.
He was loved and cared for deeply and will be remembered forever by his friends and family. His living soul has now returned to our Creator. He was known for his heart full of caring kindness, and generosity. Words cannot give value to the love in our hearts for him.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Pete is survived by his five children, Misty (Bryan Inman) Bennie, Maria (Billy) Evans, Peter Bennie, Megan Johnson, and Molly Bennie; five grandchildren, Ryan Nutt, Briann (Nick Gulli) Huff, Daniel (Emma Smitley) Kessler Jr., Alex (Scarlett Zehala) Kessler, and Braven Evens; great-grandchildren, Gianna Gulli, and one currently on the way, to be named Layla Kessler; two siblings, Charlie Bennie, and Kathy Ermini; nieces, and nephews; close friends, Ronda S. Waughen, Daniel Kessler Sr., the Edwards family, as well as many other close friends who will all mourn the loss of Pete in their lives.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by three siblings, Monica Hodges, Charlotte Serratta, and Theresa Vojacek.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION.
