JUDITH LYNN (MCCARTY) HANAN

Judith Lynn “Judy” (McCarty) Hanan. 64, of Uniontown, went to join her husband of over 25 years, on Friday, July 19, 2024, in WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

She was born on April 25, 1960, in Waynesburg, PA to the late Robert Llyod McCarty Sr. and the late Shirley Rae (Sowden) McCarty.

Judy will fondly be remembered as having always worn her heart on her sleeve and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her two step-children; four siblings, Cindy (Delbert) Hanan, Robert (June) McCarty Jr., Sherri (Charles) Hardin and Kevin (Lisa) McCarty; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Haley (Andrew) Merglowski and special nephew, Todd Hice; her caregiver of seven years, Billie Caldwell; her little peanut, Alara; her loving companion, her dog, “Maddie”; and many loving friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Hanan, a veteran of the United States Navy. 

Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Interment to follow at Cove Run Cemetery, Lemont Furnace, PA.
