EVELYN IRENE (PETRO) HOMER

Evelyn Irene (Petro) Homer, 88, of Dunbar, died Monday, December 4, 2023, in WeCare at Waynesburg, in Waynesburg, PA.

She was born on January 13, 1935, in Dunbar, PA, to the late John and Mary Petro.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Mark (Holly) Homer; grandchildren, Victoria Pletcher, Paul (Stacey) Homer, Christopher (Ali) Homer, Nicholas (Jamie) Homer and Emily Homer and fiancé Wyatt Leonard; great grandchildren, Megan, Nicole, Sterling, Grace, John, Collyn, Sydney, Taylor and Bryce; great-great grandchildren, Landen, Liam, Logan, Nadia, Natalia and Skylar; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her former daughter-in-law with whom she remained close, Rosemarie Homer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Homer Sr., son, Paul J. Homer Jr. and six siblings, Betty, John, Ray, Ed, Dorothy and Marge.

Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, PA on Thursday, December 7, 2023, 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a 7pm Parastas service.

Friday, December 8, 2023, 10:15 am Panachida service at the funeral home. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at Saint Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, Connellsville, PA, with Fr. Jerome Botsko as celebrant.

Interment to follow at Mt.St. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
