DONALD RAY SNYDER

Donald Ray Snyder Sr., 72, of Connellsville, PA, died Monday, December 11, 2023, in Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. 

He was born on August 29, 1951, in Reedsville, WV, to the late Cletty Melvin “Merle” Snyder and the late Leola (Savage) Snyder. 

Donald was a self-employed carpenter by trade until his retirement. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing; and he enjoyed bowling. 

He liked going to Jennerstown Speedway to watch the races.

At home, he could often be found watching NASCAR races on TV. 

He is survived by his wife, Teresa “Terry” (Leonard) Snyder; children, Carol (Paul) Rock, Donald “Buck” (& partner Terrence) Snyder Jr., and Terry Lee Snyder; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five siblings; many nieces and nephews as well as many friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Sheree Myers and eight siblings. 

Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street; Dunbar, PA, on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Robert Reed officiating.
