David “Dave” Bernard Couts, 76, of Connellsville, PA, died on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Harmon House Health & Rehab Center, Mt. Pleasant, PA.
He was born on October 21, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Dorothy E. (Shaw) Couts and the late John T. Couts.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was an extremely talented coin surgeon by trade; not only was it his job, it was also his hobby.
He also was an extremely talented woodworker with simply stunning creations!
Dave is survived by his longtime girlfriend of 28 years, Sandy Absher; niece, Shannon Booth; two great nieces; sister-in-law and good friend, Tom.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Couts and Roy Couts.
Arrangements by Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA.
There will be no public visitation.
