CAROL JOY (MORRIS) BREAKIRON

Carol Joy Breakiron, 75, of Dunbar, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at home, with her loving family by her side. 

She was born on April 11, 1946, to the late Clarence Milford Morris and the late Violet Mae Hammett Morris. 

Carol was very social; she truly loved spending time with her friends and especially enjoyed going out to eat with them. She was an avid reader and loved to shop. She was a member of the Dunbar Eagles where she was involved in the Ladies Auxiliary. Additionally, she was a member of the Dunbar Community Fest Committee.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Launa Rae Flaskamp, on December 11, 2014; three sisters, Juanita Morris, Donna O’Wade, and Arlene Leapline; and brother Jeffrey Morris. 

Surviving are a daughter, Ronna Breakiron and her fiancé Gary Richter, three grandchildren, Aaron Breakiron, Alaina Breakiron, and Cory Flaskamp. She also had 2 great grandchildren, her “buddy” Aidan Breakiron, and Carson Flaskamp. She is also survived by her brothers, Clarence (Judy) Morris Jr., Merle (Iris) Morris, Dennis (Judith) Morris, Darrell (Teressa) Morris, Larry Paul (Jennifer) Morris, her sister, Lynn (Larry) Hall, and brother-in-law Donald O’Wade. 

A special thank you is extended to Amedisys Hospice, Scottdale, for their loving care given to Carol. 

Friends and family will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA on Tuesday, November 30, 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 1, 9-11 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Interment will be private at Franklin Memorial Cemetery.
