Barry Neil “Tuffy” Tufano, 76, of Speers Hill, Dunbar, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, in WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA.
He was born on August 18, 1948, in Uniontown, PA, to the late William Louis Tufano and the late Jean (Goodwin) Tufano.
Barry served in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division as a ranger during the Vietnam War.
In his working years, he was a warehouse manager for Burn’s Drug store for twenty-eight years. He also ran Tufano Trucking.
In his retirement, he especially loved working with Scott Cornish and his employees at Scott C’s.
Barry also looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed his yearly vacations with his wife to Sanibel Island, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Tedi Faye (Stern) Tufano, his soulmate, whom he spent 51 years with until the time of his passing; son, Alex Tufano, and fiancée Kelsey Ryan; granddaughter, Aubrey; brothers-in-law, Louis Stern, and partner Roseann, Robert Stern, and Jay Stern (Maryann); numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ericca Tufano.
Friends will be received at Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, PA, on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the hour of service.
MILITARY HONORS WILL BE ACCORDED by Hopwood Amvets Post 103 AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE FUNERAL HOME.
The family would like to extend special thanks to their cousin and dear friend, Glenda Piccioni, as well as good friend, Paul Butchko who were both with him and his family through it all. They would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at both WVU Uniontown and WVU Ruby Memorial for the kindness and compassion that they showed to Barry. In particular, they would like to express their gratitude to his Oncologist, Dr. Mo, Adrienne, and Krista, whom he was particularly fond of.
